Once the procedure for either enhancing the overprint or removal of the backgroung color has been accomplished, the measurements can now be determined. Fig. 7 shows the previous overprint with the zero point of the measuring axis positioned such that the vertical axis is adjacent to the left edge of the P in POCZTA and the horizontal axis is adjacent to the bottom edge of the word POLSKA. The x and y distances from this zero point is displayed on the Info Screen. Click on Window and then click on Info. Place the tip of the pointer in the top colored bar of the Info Box and the box can be dragged to any convenient location. Click on the Move Tool and the location of the tip of the cursor will be displayed in the Info box.
The tip of the cursor was placed on top of the Z in POCZTA and the height of this overprint is measured at 8.8 mm. This is a Mueller forgery. Any desired measurement can easily be determined by placement of the zero reference point and placement of the tip of the pointer. The height of the oveprint, the distance between the left edges of the P's and the distance between the left edge of the P in POCZTA and the left edge of the rhombus are the normal measurements needed for these overprints.
